Since there are no approved recyclers for NLS in Kerala State, receivers of cargo are required to receive pre-wash from vessels discharging NLS in case vessel is required to discharge pre-wash from cargo tanks prior sailing to sea to comply with MARPOL-Annex-II.

Sewage

Treatment facility available for Cruise vessels and Passenger ships, Sewage Treatment Plant at Vathurithy. May be used by all vessels. 3 vendors are approved by Port.

Garbage

Private contractors approved by port. Listed as authorised vendors in Swachh Sagar portal.

Delivery taken either by boat or truck and disposal at approved waste yard/ Brahmapuram Corporaation yard.
