1 What are the various rates applicable ship service at Cochin Port?
          Cochin Port charges - Port Dues, Pilotage and Berth hire for ship services. Details available at Tariff page.
2 What are the various charges applicable for cargo service at Cochin Port?
          Cochin Port collects only wharfage and demurrage/License fee as cargo charges. For cargoes stored in Licensed area only wharfage is applicable. Details available in Scale of Rates in Tariff page.
3 Whether wharfage and demurrage is applicable at CFS also?
          At CFS no wharfage and demurrage is levied. Only storage charges is levied. In addition destuffing/stuffing charges per TEU is also charged. Details available in Scale of Rates in Tariff page.
4 What is the procedure for Port users (Steamer Agents/CHA/Stevedore/Ship Chandler) to register with Port?
          Port user shall submit following documents (4 sets) to Sr. Accounts Officer (Traffic Revenue Section)
  • Copy of the Customs License
  • Copy of the Article of Association/Memorandum of Association
  • Power of Attorney
  • Copy of the PAN
  • Specimen Signature of Authorized Signatory
  • Solvency Certificate

        After scrutiny, if found in order, the user will be registered with port and an account number will be allotted, through which the user can do all transactions with the Port.

                Port user then has to submit following documents to Traffic Manager office for authorizing the persons for transactions

  • Copy of the Customs License
  • Article of Association/Memorandum of Association
  • Specimen signature of the authorized signatory (7 copies)

 What is the biggest size of ship that can come to Mattacherry wharf?

 

Vessels which are not more than -

  • LOA - 180m
  • Draft -9.14m
  • Displacement-25000MT

 What is the biggest size of ship that can come to Ernakulam wharf?

 

 At Q8-Q9 of Ernakulam wharf, vessel with 300m LOA, 12.5m draft can be berthed. All other berths at Ernakulam wharf, ships with 200m LOA and 10 m draft can be handled.

 Details of cranes available for ship operation ?

 

 Port has a Mobile Harbour Crane of 40T capacity which can be used for both hook as well as grab operation

 In which all berths, crude oil and POL can be handled?

 

 Crude can be handled at SPM (300000MT parcel size) and COT (100000MT) berths. POL can be handled at COT (50000MT), STB (25000MT) and NTB (30000MT). At SCB and BTP smaller parcels (about 10000MT) can be handled.
